Welcome to Smart Grid Forums

We are an independent conference organiser specialised in the power grid sector.

We monitor the market, conduct depth interviews, and create technical conference programmes that bring power grid operators together with technology suppliers and system integrators, for crucial conversations surrounding grid transformation, renewables integration, and meeting climate goals.

Whether you are a utility technical specialist, middle manager, or senior decision maker, you will benefit enormously from the new technology implementation insights and high level partnership opportunities available through our programme of in-person and online events.

Our Mission, Vision, Values

Our mission is to amplify the voice of utilities worldwide. We recognise the pressures you face in driving grid modernisation at the pace of the digital age whilst simultaneously working hard to keep the lights on.

Our vision is to help you challenge the status quo. We understand that driving renewables integration requires a fine balancing act of applying technical know-how and skilfully navigating the human factors.

Our values are:

  1. Taking ownership
  2. Working to high standards
  3. Being courageous
  4. Driving win-win outcomes
  5. Being enthusiastic

Our Events

Our events are primarily designed for utility technical teams who are responsible for product specification, new technology implementation, system operation, equipment maintenance, and cybersecurity.

The grid domains we address include: Digital Substations, SCADA Systems, Utility Telecoms, Smart Meters, Big Data, OT Cybersecurity, Asset Management, IEC 61850, IEC 62443, and IEC CIM.

Our annual in-person event is supported by a year-round online community forum and a series of thought leadership webinars.

The SGT25 programme is currently under research and development and the full conference agenda and speaker line-up will be ready to view in January 2025
